Overview
Invited by Prof. Gil Rosenthal (University of Padova) to collaborate on an international research project alongside Italian and Canadian researchers. Contributed to both infrastructure and computer vision components of the project, solving critical connectivity issues and building 3D tracking pipelines.
Key Achievements
- Engineered a secondary network using a Raspberry Pi connected to the existing modem, completely resolving chronic connectivity issues at CICHAZ and enabling reliable research operations.
- Contributed to the 3D tracking project by implementing OpenCV-based object detection pipelines for animal behavior monitoring.
- Generated synthetic simulation data to augment training and validation datasets for the tracking system.
- Collaborated in a multinational research team bridging expertise across Italy, Canada, and Mexico.
